Portrait of Maria Guzman, Perth Photographer

I believe photography can be a gentle act of witnessing, a way to honour your truth, not just your appearance.

What if being photographed felt less like performing, and more like coming home to yourself?

Because not all photography is created equal. Some images are beautiful. Others are powerful.

Whether you're celebrating motherhood, connection, or your own quiet becoming, I'm here to hold space for what matters.

My sessions are slow and intentional. They’re shaped by trust, presence, and the belief that you don’t need to be anything but yourself to be seen.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about creating images that feel grounding, honest, and full of life, now and in the years to come.

What would it look like to honour this chapter of your life?

Raw and unfiltered beauty in a quiet landscape — woman connecting with body and breath on dry stone in the Perth Hills.
This is where the magic lives, in the stillness, the breath, the in-between.

Every image is an offering:
to your story, your softness, your strength.

Everyone is welcome here

I believe in creating a space where all love, identities, and stories are honoured and celebrated. No matter your background, who you love, or how you express yourself, you are seen, valued, and safe in front of my lens. I proudly support the LGBTQIA+ community and all minorities, and I am committed to capturing you as you are, beautiful, authentic, and worthy of being documented.

I loved my photoshoot with Maria. I felt supported, nurtured, and completely looked after. She’s so adaptive, making the session feel effortless and natural. Being around her felt like being at home, easy going and fun.

When I first saw the images, I loved them. They are raw, earthy, and authentically me, perfectly capturing my story, my brand, and my connection to nature. Maria has such an incredible eye for detail, beauty, and expression, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a session that is both professional and deeply personal.

Thank you so much for making me feel like a goddess during the winter months!

Artful film portrait of woman framed by native Australian florals – indoor branding shoot in Perth, Western Australia

Working with Maria was an experience I’ll never forget! Her ability to capture raw, natural, feminine beauty on film is unlike anything I’ve seen. We did a sensual, feminine shoot full of native flowers. She made me feel at ease immediately. There was a deep sense of trust that allowed me to really be myself in front of her lens.

Her use of film, especially her signature double exposures, brought so much depth and soul to the images and no one else can do these the same way!! They are truly special.

The photos feel soft and raw and I’m so grateful for the experience and the beautiful images we created together. This experience has re-sparked my own creative energy.

Maria’s talent and professionalism as a photographer is incredible. She made me feel really comfortable in front of the lens when it’s not my usual place to be, she held a shared vision of what I wanted and scouted places that would suit that vision, she is hands on, proactive and supportive throughout the whole process making the whole shoot feel effortless, and the result was some beautifully crafted and unique photos I can use for my new brand.

I keep this experience very close to my heart. Maria is such a dedicated and talented professional. Her energy is contagious, and her vision was so inspiring that allowed me to flow naturally in every setting during the photoshoot. Her directions came from a place of respect, beauty and female body empowerment, making me feel confident in each pose and deep appreciation towards my own body. It was an absolute honour to be captured through Maria's lens.

She’s not only incredibly talented but also has an amazing ability to make you feel comfortable and confident during the shoot. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her for both personal shots and showcasing my jewelry, and the experience exceeded all my expectations. She came prepared with fantastic ideas and thoughtful props, which added so much depth and creativity to the session. Her organisation and attention to detail were top-notch, and the results?
